1.     How long have you been coaching and how long have you been part of Footy4U?

I have started coaching by chance in 2005, so it’s been almost 14 years in coaching. I have joined Footy during Summer 2013 if I’m not mistaken…. have always been a good friend of Andrea who lured me on board and since then I try to give my input every Summer.

 

2.     How was the trip?

The trip to Pescara was a very good experience. The level of football experienced was quite high as were the facilities where the games were played. For some boys this was the first experience playing an 11-a side match and they produced great football. Having the travelling, playing, eating and sleeping together surely made this trip a wonderful experience for all of them.

 

3.     Would there be any experiences you would like to share with us?

The best experience for sure was bringing 12 players from different clubs and background to a prestigious tournament and bonding them as one team. It looked as if most of them had played together for years. Moreover, we had very positive comments on the team’s attitude and also on the players’ individual performance during this tournament.

 

4.     How do you think this trip will be of benefit for the boys who took part?

The boys that had the opportunity to participate in this tournament surely benefitted from the experience of playing abroad in a different, yet challenging environment and out of their comfort zone. They had the opportunity to show their level in front of coaches and scouts from different Italian teams. One last important thing is making new friends and great memories that will never be forgotten.
